Ways to get involved

Alan holding a skateboard and wearing angel wings.

We need your help to keep providing Newport with this unique resource. There are lot of ways for you to be an angel and get involved.

Do you have any spare used equipment?

We are able to take donations of the following used equipment in Very Good Condition. Please speak to a staff member or volunteer before bringing in any used equipment as we are limited on space.

  • Safety equipment: helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards in VCG
  • Skateboards, wheels, trucks, decks, bearings in VGC
  • Non-folding scooters in VGC
  • Quad skates in VGC
  • BMX bikes in VGC

Can you help in other ways?

  • Long-term home. We'd love to move to a larger venue to have more space and offer more options. Do you know anywhere suitable? Can you help?
  • Skate volunteers. Be part of our journey and join our team at No Comply Newport. We have a range of roles available to help support our day to day operations. If you have a valid DBS check and first aid training get in touch. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, get in touch and we can get DBS checks and first aid training arranged for you. No matter how you roll, if you’re a qualified and insured coach and fancy giving back to the skatepark community with your knowledge and skill, we'd like to hear from you.
  • Workshops and events. Are you a creative person into skatepark culture and design, and would like to run workshops at the skatepark? We also offer the opportunity to host various events for all arts and cultures in Newport. From trade shows to art exhibitions, our venue is the perfect place.
  • Photography and videography. Skatepark culture and visual arts are so important in documenting our journey at No Comply Newport. We’ll keep adding your photos capturing skatepark culture to the wall of characters and moments which sum up who were are as a community. Videos helps stream the good things happening at the skatepark and we want this to keep inspiring future generations
  • Design talent pool. If you’re an aspiring artist and fancy designing or developing a logo or artwork for the project we could add this to our merchandise range - all profits will go towards the project.
  • Let's talk about disability. Wheelchair motocross (WCMX) is the fastest growing wheelchair sport in the world. Why aren’t all skateparks made accessible?

Interested?

Please contact us if you have any questions or can support us in any way.
